Business Development Manager

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana or negotiable

Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to be responsible for the identification, qualification, and capture of programs in an addressable market of approximately $1 billion over five years.  This position is expected to identify a pipeline of opportunities with a total value of approximately $100 million in the short term and approximately $500 million - $600 million over the next 5 years.

Responsibilities:

This position will interface with potential customers to discuss requirements, schedules, and capabilities and with industry personnel to develop teaming and/or partnering relationships to support business needs.  The primary focus of this position will be on the development of new business including R&D projects.

The Business Development Manager will function as the customer interface and advocate for relevant pursuits, identify, and help shape customer requirements and lead the internal capture teams to develop and implement a winning strategy. 

The incumbent will coordinate closely with other client business areas on related initiatives, act as a central knowledge base for customer strategic direction and will be able to formulate tactical and strategic plans to support both client's Business development Team and customer objective.

This position will also monitor assigned New Business Initiative budget requirements, and be involved in appropriate program performance reviews. This person will assist in conducting BD activities such as scheduling, tracking, and completing capture/proposal gate reviews.

Position Requirements:

A successful candidate will have:

 

  • At least 10 years of combined industry or military experience and solid business development background
  • Proven success record growing businesses
  • Working knowledge of business development roles and missions, financial planning and reporting, company organizations and customer development techniques.
  • Ability to respond efficiently/effectively to time-critical requirements with satisfactory results
  • Ability to interface with numerous BD disciplines and organizational levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and development and maintenance of relationships both internally and externally
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • In-depth computer knowledge (MS Work, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and out of the box thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and effectively lead teams to success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field.
  • MBA desired.

Salary:

$90K - $130K

Tax Attorney

Location: Wichita, KS

Description:

Highly reputable company is adding a 4-6 year Tax Attorney to their well established tax group. This individual will provide tax planning and conduct transaction work.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but not be limited to, providing tax strategies as it relates to business transactions, M&A and studies.

Must be professional in demeanor and work successfully with other businesses and other tax professionals identifying and assessing the financial implications of different transactions from tax perspective.

Position Requirements:

Successful candidate will have:

  • Between 4-8 years of solid tax experience working with transactions and M&A
  • Corporate and partnership tax experience is a plus
  • Must have broad experience in corporate tax, including domestic and international tax planning and/or tax compliance
  • Previous Big 4 or larger corporation experience
  • Experience in managing the tax affairs of a complex multi-national company
  • Advanced Degree in law or tax from an accredited University (Masters or LLM)

Salary:

$100K - $125K

Tax Planning Manager

Location: Northern Indiana

We are seeking a Tax Planning Manager to complete this highly respected and well established tax department. Successful candidate will provide FAS 109/Fin 48 expertise and strategic federal and state planning for the organization.

Responsibilities:

The Tax Planning Manager will be responsible for:

 Tax Accounting function - FAS 109 calculations /Fin 48 reporting

  • Provide strategic tax planning both federal and state and some international
  • Manage Provision on an annual basis, assist in YE close
  • Provide research and analysis at federal and state level
  • Although this position is primarily a planning positions, there will be some compliance review when necessary.
  • Assist in Audits

Position Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree - Accounting or Finance
  • CPA Required, MST or JD a plus
  • 8 - 10 years tax experience with a public accounting firm, corporate tax a plus
  • Expert level with FAS 109 calculations
  • Federal and State tax planning experience a must
  • Must be proficient in commonly used software

 

Salary:

$85K - $100K
